Actress, director, producer, and educator of theatre arts.  She began her career in Chicago, where she performed with Second City, Old Town Theatre, and Travel Light Theatre.  She was co-director, and one of the original cast members, along with Whoopi Goldberg, of Spontaneous Combustion, San Diego's first improvisational comedy troupe.  She produced as well as performed in the inaugural productions of two one-acts, directed Eleemosynary, and The Lady and the Clarinet, both critically acclaimed productions for the SDAT. She directed the popular and long-running productions of Inspecting Carol and Laughter on the 23rd Floor, for which she was awarded Best Director by KPBS Radio.  Patricia has designed several performance projects in collaboration with the SD Museum of Art for their Matisse, Mucha, Monet, Pacific Arcadia, and Eastman Kodak exhibitions. Ms. Elmore Costa continues as a professional actor featured in radio, television, short and independent feature films and is Theatre and Speech Arts faculty at Southwestern and Miramar Colleges. Currently she is an actor and member of the Board of Directors for the Actors Alliance of San Diego.
