Patricia Elmore Costa--Current Bio


Patricia Elmore Costa is an actor, director, producer, writer and MOM.  Since 1985 she has been the Artistic Director and driving force of the San Diego Actors Theatre.  Currently, she is a manager with Guest Talent Programs, a division at Disney Entertainment Productions in Anaheim and is a professor of theatre and communication arts for the San Diego Community College District.  Patricia has directed and acted in projects with the San Diego Repertory Theatre, Old Globe Theatre, North Coast Repertory Theatre, Diversionary Theatre, and the San Diego Actors Theatre in site-specific locations.  This past holiday season, she completed a delightful and successful run of an original La Pastorela in Old Town for the Save Our Heritage Organization, SOHO.  The year 2006 began with a production at Sixth at Penn Theatre of Ajax by Sophocles with an adaptation by world-renowned author of Greek translations, Marianne McDonald where she had the unique opportunity to play the male warrior, Menelaus.  On June 12, 2006 she will be engaged in a reading of a new play developed by Ruff Yeager and his new Vox Nova Theatre Company at the Lyceum Space in Horton Plaza, downtown.  She has been fortunate and blessed to be involved in the magic and wonder of live theatre for over 30 years.  Always for Joseph, Matthew and Nicholas.
